Leonard’s Landing Staff
Dave Burris – General Manager, and wife Muna
Dave and Muna have lived in Anchorage, Alaska as well as other ‘Bush’ communities throughout the beautiful and vast state of Alaska. 2021 is their second year running Leonard’s Landing Lodge. They call Yakutat their summer home and in winters reside in Spokane, Washington.
When not working the long hours required to keep the lodge running smoothly, they like to sneak away and catch a Chinook or go for a hike in the beautiful areas around Yakutat.
We look forward to meeting you and providing excellent lodging and fish processing services on your next visit to Yakutat and Leonard’s Landing Lodge.
Gary Altenburger – Maintenance Manager
Gary hails from rural West Virginia. Gary discovered the great Yakutat fishing in 2013. He has been working at Leonard’s Landing as the maintenance manager since July 2018.
When Gary is not building, fixing, and improving the lodge he can be found (or not found) pursuing his passion of halibut fishing. He has landed some impressive halibut over the years. When you see Gary around the grounds ask him about his biggest halibut and the even bigger fish his dad caught.
